DIY with Crystal Beads

DIY with crystal beads tutorial

Something as versatile as these crystal beads are an absolute DIY favourite of mine. It’s amazing the different projects you can undertake with a material as simple as these beads. Sleek, chic, elegant with a touch of understated glamour: this post is going to give you the tip of the iceberg of inspiration when it comes to styling these fab little jewels.

Elastic Beaded Bracelet

DIY Elastic Crystal Bracelet

Unbelievably simple, all you need are beads and elastic fishing wire. Measure out 10-12″ of wire, thread the beads, tie a knot and trim the excess. Easy or what?!

Vintage-inspired Cocktail Ring

Using gold jewellery wire, thread the bead and hold it on the top of the ring. Carefully wind the gold wire along one side of the ring and tightly secure with a pair of pliers. Repeat with the other side.

Chunky Chain & Bead Bracelet

Mixing the textures of crystal and metal, this chunky bracelet is deceptively easy to make. Thread the beads onto a length of fishing wire and secure each end with a clam shell bead tip. Hook the beaded section onto the gold chain using jump rings and a lobster clasp.

Worn on its own or stacked together, any one of these fab DIYs are guaranteed to become part of your regular wardrobe rotation. Pairing the contemporary Chunky bracelet with the elegant Elastic Bead Bracelet and the vintage-inspired ring may seem a contradiction of styles, however, the consistency of those crystal beads makes it work.

So tell me, how would you DIY these gorgeous little beads?
