I’ve previously done a few DIYs using fake crystal beads, making ice-inspired necklaces and a crystal-style bracelet but this necklace is my new fave. A statement piece using a thick 80’s style ghetto gold chain and sleek fake crystal beads, this necklace is beautiful when layered over bright jewel tones.
What you need:
- Wide gold chain
- 12 long fake crystal beads
- 14 big gold jump rings
- 1 gold spring clasp
- Starting in the middle of the chain, attach one crystal bead per chain link using a gold jump ring.
- Using the two remaining jump rings, attach the spring clasp to either end of the chain.
This necklace is so easy to make and can be worn many different ways; the bold thick chain is a contemporary addition to a dressed up look while the sleek crystals also lends the necklace a sophisticated impression.
