Floral Blazer

DIY Refashioned Floral Blazer

I’m loving florals and pastels at the moment: it’s all about spring fashion and I’ve got a nifty little DIY to show you today. Unfortunately, with the stifling heat and humidity in Hong Kong, I can’t really layer my outfits past April (yep, not much longer…) but luckily for me, I am also loving sleeveless blazers (which I can just about get away with in the HK heat – thank goodness for baltic indoor air-conditioning!)

Would you believe that I picked up this little number in a random market stall in North Point that was being manned by the teeniest old Chinese lady ever! And, would you believe that it only cost me HK$20?! HA! Even I still have trouble believing that! Cheap though it was, it was also slightly too big and had the most 80s-tastic shoulder pads – not quite my thing. A quick snip with the scissors and run under the sewing machine though and this little number was completely modernized.

I love layering vests/sleeveless blazers/waistcoats over maxi dresses and this will be no exception. Can’t wait to be fully decked in my Spring wardrobe!

Happy DIYing!
