Chunky Spike Necklace

Chunky Spikey Necklace

I’m sure it’s no surprise to anyone that I love spikes and anything that makes a statement! I sometimes wonder myself if I’m able to do “demure”…but then I layer on the neck party and carry on. I really love gold and recently I’ve been using more colour-gold; rose gold for example is becoming a favourite of mine.

This necklace is great for layering on top of a casual grey T or over a simple white blouse. There’s enough going on that it doesn’t need to be paired with too many other accessories: it’s enough of a statement on its own. The spikes can make it rather aggressive but mixing yellow gold with rose gold softens the look. I love the contrast of colours, layering the chains and the different types of spikes; it makes for more unique look.

Happy DIYing!

I admire your passion… We’re opposite. I usually don’t wear accessories or any jewelry. There were times when I wear them but I am not comfortable so I don’t wear any at all. I don’t know why… but I have a longing before to make diy crafts including jewelry wherein I even bought a second-hand book abouit it!

I might have a calling to be a designer… lol

Thanks so much. It took me a while to be “brave” enough to go all out with accessorising and expressing myself through fashion. But don’t worry if you’re not totally comfortable with wearing loads of jewellery or accessories, fashion after all should be a form of self-expression and should always make you feel confident in yourself!

Definitely give DIYing or designing a go! You may find a hidden calling or passion that you didn’t know was there!
