This year I’ve taken part in an awesome awareness campaign in Hong Kong alongside many of my fabulous fellow Hong Kong Fashion Bloggers in collaboration with Redress and Friends Of The Earth; Hong Kong-based NGOs focused on promoting environment sustainability within Asia’s fashion industry.
We all teamed up a few weeks back for a photo-shoot whereby all us bloggers had to rummage through a huge pile of second-hand clothes and find an outfit. It certainly was a challenge – we were only allowed to wear our own shoes (and underwear obviously): everything else had to come from the piles.
Here’s the result: The HK Fashion Bloggers/Redress “12 Days of Christmas” Campaign. Each day, for 12 days, a different blogger’s “look” is revealed as are our tips on shopping sustainably, discovering vintage gems and the importance of minimizing textile waste. Please make sure you visit their site if you have any interest in finding an antidote to “fast fashion” and reducing waste in Hong Kong.
