Here’s a quick and easy DIY tutorial to help get you through the day. These earrings are incredibly lightweight and the spikes come in a variety of colours and sizes – for my fellow Hong Kongers: just head on over to Yu Chau St in Sham Shui Po and you’ll be able to have a good root around.
Hope you give these a try for yourselves!
What you need:
- 6 big spikes (make sure they’re ringed at the top)
- 2 big ring links
- 2 hanging earring loops
- 2 small ring links
- Using the pliers, hook one of the big spikes onto one of the small ring links. Repeat with another spike.
- Continue using the pliers to hook 3 spikes onto each of the big ring links. Make sure that in each bundle, the spike that has the small ring link attached is in the middle of the other two spikes.
- Hook each hanging earring loop onto each big ring link.
And it’s that easy – I didn’t even think I needed to write instructions! You can probably make these in the same amount of time it took you to read this tutorial! Go on- try it out for yourself and see how easy DIY can be!
